Cambridge Lower level applied to Biological Sciences:

  • Wide range of terminology
  • Listening and reading comprehensions (close, skimming, scanning)
  • Grammar revision (singular & plural nouns, definite and indefinite articles, demonstratives, possessives, uncountables, personal & relative pronouns) grammar revision (verbs, all forms of the present tense, past tenses, the passive voice).
  • Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) work.
  • Use of CD-ROM and Internet in information retrieval and library use/skills

All students have a personal email address, and are expected, by the end of the first week of November, to contact the English Instructor, at the following address margaret@imbc.gr.
To make contact is part of the Diagnostic Test given in the first week in November. Extra hours for beginners by arrangement.

Compulsory Course in English for Biology (three credits for each, twelve in total), all instruction takes place in English
