ORION

ORION, an EU funded project co-ordinated by the Institute of Marine Biology, Crete, created a Virtual Learning Environment in marine environmental science, containing re-usable modules for distance learning in marine pollution and ecology, along with unique online interactive language modules in English, Greek, Portuguese and Swedish

AMC, the lead partner in the ORION project for the development of the language modules, also created the Library Resource Section with its unique 3-language (English, Norwegian, Greek) Meristics reference work and its searchable bibliography on aquaculture and the environment.

AMC developed the ORION Marine Pollution glossary(1300 terms and definitions in English, Greek, Portuguese and Swedish). This free glossary can be accessed here. Please follow the instructions for use, which allow instant translation of terms from and to English, Portuguese, Greek and Swedish. Individual definitions may be obtained by only two mouse-clicks.
