CRETAN COAST

The Marine Ecology Laboratory, in collaboration with the Institute of Marine Biology of Crete, will assist in producing a new videotape concerning the beaches of Crete. The stability of the beach ecosystem will be a major feature of the video, which will also incorporate beach flora and fauna. The anthropogenic influences that degrade and pollute these beaches will be examined, along with the ecological and economic significance of such pollution.
Work has already started. Here are some images from the first day's shooting in Falasarna.
