Projects

The Marine Ecology Laboratory was directly involved as a partner in the very large Mediterranean Targeted Project, in the Cincs Project, coordinated by the IMBC. The University of Crete's partnership mainly concerned the video recorded during the 29 manned dives made by the submersible JAGO as it investigated areas up to 400 metres deep, including the Santorini caldera, the hydrothermal vent areas around Milos, as well as many other interesting underwater sites.

More information is available from the CINCS and JAGO case studies, at www.imbc.gr.
