Last year, the Marine Ecology Laboratory hosted two student exchanges, Kierstin Rieder and Katrin Stobbe, from the university of Roctock, Germany.

As an ERASMUS/ SOCRATES student I came in autumn 99 from the German Baltic Sea to the Aegean Sea. At my home university in Rostock I have spent five years studying biology and for six months I now have the opportunity to stay at the lab of Marine Ecology to do my diploma work. I work on the meiofauna of Cretan sandy beaches, with special attention to harpacticoid copepods.
